HISTORY

 

 

    Initial formation of the ASEAN LAW STUDENTS ASSOCIATION (ALSA) is an organization of law students at the ASEAN level. The initial idea was launched in the course of formation of the ALSA conference Indonesian Law Student Association Senate (ISMAHI) II on 21-24 September 1987 in Makassar at that time there were only 5 Universities namely:

 

   1. Indonesia University

   2. Padjadjaran University

   3. Airlangga University

   4. Diponegoro University

   5. Gadjah Mada University

 

   After that sparked the idea of ​​the formation of this ALSA as container law student organization is the State ASEAN Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

 

   On October 23, 2003 in Bangkok, Thailand ASEAN's use of the name was changed to ASIAN LAW STUDENT'S ASSOCIATION. The use of the name in the National Level must pass through the determination of the General Assembly (National Assembly) which at that time that the host is concentrated in Jember University.

In Indonesia alone there are 13Universitas State among other things:

   6. Airlangga University

   7. Brawijaya University

   8. Syah Kuala University

   9. Jember University

    ALSA LC Jember University was established on March 23, 2000, the name was established by Mas Mas Faruq Fendy A and Ansari. ALSA LC Jember University is also one of the student activity unit of the Faculty of Law, University of Jember. ALSA has the vision and mission. Which of the vision that is constantly trying to be a forum for law students in the developing scholarly study of law, developing the potential of its members and enhancing the quality of the organization, to establish a close and harmonious relationships both nationally and internationally, especially the Asian region, as well as a real contribution to society, nation and state.

 

    While ALSA's mission is to develop scholarly study, especially in the fields of law, efforts to optimize human resource development both in quality and quantity, develop a network of good cooperation in national and international space ASIA especially on the basis of the principle of equality and mutual respect, trying to explore and develop the potential is there to anticipate all the obstacles and challenges faced, and continue to play an active role trying to raise awareness of the problems that exist in the community, the nation and the State as well as trying to find a solution.

 

   Achievement ever achieved that gets 3rd title in the competition NMCC (national moot court) in 2003. ALSA LC UNEJ himself has become a national event hosted by 4 times:

 

  • In 2002 ALSA LC UNEJ be hosted in the activities of the National Moot Court Competition,

  • In 2005 ALSA LC UNEJ be hosted in NATIONAL CONFERENCE SEMINAR and XII, which at the time was a change of name of the ASEAN LAW STUDENTS 'ASSOCIATION converted into ASIAN LAW STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION (ALSA) and officially used at the national level.

  • In 2010 ALSA LC UNEJ be hosts in NATIONAL CONFERENCE SEMINAR and XVII.

  • In 2014 ALSA LC UNEJ to the Host in the activities of the National Moot Court Competition Cup Supreme Court

  • In the period 2011-2012 CONFERENCE LOCAL X happens to change the name was changed to ALSA ALSA UNEJ LC LC official UJ and used in accordance with the decision of AD ART.
